Why bamboo? Is it really strong enough to make sunglasses out of?

Are all lenses polarised?

Yep, 100% UVA and UVB protection coming from your TAC polarised lenses.  For more information on what that means, click here.


What makes these glasses sustainable?

The bamboo used in the making of our sunglasses frames is only harvested when the plant has matured and is effectively "hard" - due to this fact, it no longer has the properties needed to provide nourishment and nutrition for other species relying on the bamboo.


My sunnies are wood, does that make them waterproof?

Yep, not only are they waterproof, but they can float too!  That being said, you should probably try and keep them dry when you can and dry them off after wetting.


Is there something specific I should be doing to look after my Grass sunnies?

All of our glasses have been treated with natural oils and non-allergenic waxes to help protect the wood from excessive moisture.  Though very uncommon, if you do notice that the protective coating is beginning to wear away, simply apply a touch up using either bees wax or a natural lip balm.


How do I place an order?

Glad you asked 🙂  All you would need to do is click on the menu item labelled SHOP, click on the pair of sunglasses that tickles your fancy, and click Add to Cart.  Once your shopping experience is complete, click on the Cart in the top right corner of the screen to check out.  Double check that your order is correct and follow the prompts.


What payment options are available to me and are they secure?

You can either make a direct EFT transfer, or pay using PayFast.  For more information on payment options and their security, click here.


How long do I have to wait before receiving my order?

Depending on the delivery option selected, you may have to wait one day to three days.  Once your order has been confirmed, we will package and send your product immediately.  See Shipping Options for more details.


What happens if my order gets lost in the post?

Depending on your location, your Grass glasses will either be sent by local courier door-to-door, or SAPO Speed Courier services counter-to-counter. You will be issued with a tracking number to ensure that you know where your parcel is at all times.  If something happens along the way, PLEASE let us know and we will do our best to resolve the situation.


Is there a physical store that I can go to?

Are the products on the site all that are available?

As it stands, yes.  However, we purchase stock regularly so products keep changing.  If you see a style that you like, but would prefer a different frame or lens colour, pop us a mail - we will bear this in mind with our next order.


Can I make a special request?

Please do!  We can't guarantee that all your wishes can come true, but we can most certainly try.  Contact us.


What should I do should I be unhappy with my order?

We have worked really hard to ensure that each individual pair of glasses is of the highest quality.  Should you have any concerns or issues with your order, pleasecontact us immediately and we will attempt to work together to solve the problem.  For more information, see our Refunds and Returns Policy.


How do the gift vouchers work?

To purchase a gift voucher works exactly the same as purchasing a pair of sunglasses.  The difference being that you will not take delivery of a pair of sunglasses (just yet), but rather a unique code to be used at checkout upon purchasing a pair of sunglasses.
